Canton Heritage Festival 2024

The 3rd annual Canton Heritage Festival was the biggest and best festival yet at the Paul Revere Heritage Site in Canton, MA. Though the skies were threatening rain, the weather held off throughout the event and it was a huge success. Approximately 2,500 people from Canton and surrounding Towns attended the festival, which took place over the beautiful 9-acre park of the Paul Revere Heritage Site.

This year’s festival featured 92 vendors of crafts and food and 36 community organizations/non-profits, along with reenactors, face painting, live animals, toys and activities for kids, inflatables, and more. Paul Revere (played by Michael Page) was walking around and interacting with the festival guests, and representatives from the Lexington Minute Men created a Revolutionary War camp site and led some of the attendees through their drills, ended their drills by firing their historic muskets.

The Festival also featured the opening of the newest exhibit in the preview space for the future Paul Revere Museum of Discovery and Innovation. Copper items on loan from various community members, along with copper art and jewelry made by T. Michael Thomas and others fill all three floors of the refurbished mid-1800s yellow Barn, and the exhibit will remain up for the rest of the year. T. Michael and others from the People’s Academy, representatives from Handshouse, the Massasoit Ink Monkeys all gathered to provide hands-on workshops for festival attendees, doing activities like forming metal and block printing.

The Festival was supported by generous sponsorships from local businesses. The Revere & Son Heritage Trust is so grateful to all our sponsors, especially the platinum sponsors: Mayer Compass Realty, Bank of Canton, Point32Health, Marilyn & Company Keller Williams, Republic Services, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Thanks also to the gold sponsor: Hebrew Senior Life, the silver sponsor: Dedham Savings, and the bronze sponsors: Redball Promotions, Wegman’s, Trillium Brewery, and the Hilton Garden Inn Boston-Canton. The Festival was made possible by the generosity of these sponsors, along with cooperation and assistance from many Canton municipal departments, including the Police Department, Fire Department, Buildings Department, Department of Public Works, Board of Health, and the Parks & Recreation Department.

The 4th annual Canton Heritage Festival is tentatively scheduled on Saturday, May 17th, 2025.
