FAQ:
Is there a cost to attend?
- No! The performances are FREE ADMISSION.
What should I bring?
- Lawn chairs and/or a blanket to sit on.
- Dinner or snacks.
- Bug spray/bug repellent (The Canton Board of Health has arranged for Norfolk County to do a mosquito prevention treatment at the site in the week before the event, but extra precautions don’t hurt!).
Will there be food available at the Site?
- We do not have any food vendors coming to this event, and encourage everyone to bring their own. Northern Spy restaurant is closed for a private event on Saturday 7/26 but may be open for take-out orders on Sunday 7/27. Please contact the restaurant to confirm.
- We will have beverages (water and a small selection of soft drinks) at the PRHS info booth. A suggested donation of $1 per drink is gratefully accepted.
What if it rains?
- In case of inclement weather the performance will be moved indoors to the 2nd floor of the Yellow Barn. There are entrances from the terrace and at the back of the building by the pond. There will be a limited number of chairs available if the performance is indoors, but we still recommend bringing your own chair.
Is this show appropriate for children?
- “Richard III” is a dark tragedy, featuring a nasty protagonist, murders, beheadings, and mature language. It is not recommended for children and parental discretion is advised, but the Site is not limiting access or checking ages in any way.
Where can I park?
- Free parking is available in the Heritage Lot (access behind 60 Coppersmith Way), which is down Revere Street toward the Canton Junction MBTA station. You may also park in any marked parking spaces on Neponset Street and Revere Street. If you have a disability parking placard you may use the small lot on-site. There may be personnel at the entrance to the lot confirming the eligibility of those parking there. See detailed directions to the Heritage Lot below.
What is the restroom situation?
- There are 4 individual restrooms in the green building next to the parking lot and 2 of them are ADA accessible.

Parking available at the Heritage Lot behind 60 Coppersmith Way, and on designated parking spaces on Revolution Way, Revere Street, and Neponset Street.
